Team Leadership

The Cedar Valley Mountain Bike Team (Ride Cedar Valley, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) is run entirely by volunteers. Leadership is organized in three layers: the board, the Team Council, and our coaching staff.

Ride Cedar Valley Board

The board provides nonprofit governance for Cedar Valley Mountain Bike Team (Ride Cedar Valley): oversight, compliance, and long-term direction. To learn more about board structure, see below.

Team Council

The Team Council is where volunteers pitch in to keep things running so that no single person carries the whole load. Council members each take on an area they care about, acting as the go-to person for questions and helping turn ideas into action in that space. As riders and families move through the program, so do the roles: open spots get posted so new parents, ride leaders, or coaches can jump in and get involved.

Coaching leadership

Our head coaches design and run practices, develop riders, and support the riders on race day.

Coaches

Our coaching staff brings hundreds of hours each season to training, riding, race days, and mentoring student-athletes. They plan weekly practices, ride with the team, and show up at races and meetings. This program does not run without them.

Team volunteers

Many other parent volunteers help manage the team behind the scenes: team kits and swag, equipment, communications, technology, finances, registration, training, fundraising, race day logistics, year-round planning, and more.

Founding coach

Thank you to founding head coach Adam Clark, who served our team and community for our first six years.

Team legal and structure

The Cedar Valley Mountain Bike Team is the sanctioned Utah High School Cycling League team for junior high and high school riders who live in Eagle Mountain. We are independent and not affiliated with Cedar Valley High School or any other school. We appreciate local schools for helping connect families with our program.

The Bikes of Prey name, logo, and branding belong to Flyers and may not be used without permission. Ownership is expected to transfer to Cedar Valley Mountain Bike Team in the near future.
