Mountain bikers take care of the trails we ride. As a team that uses Lake Mountain area trails, we help maintain them with other teams who use the trails and the local Lake Mountain Trails Association (LMTA). Our trails are built and kept open by volunteers, just like our student-athletes. LMTA is separate from the team, and you can volunteer with them on your own schedule.
NICA strongly encourages trail stewardship (not a hard rule, but a core practice). It is community give-back for trails others built, and it is education: when kids learn how trails and features like berms are designed and built, they often understand how to ride them better.
Scheduled team trail work days appear below when we have them locked in. For the latest dates and details, watch team Slack. Trail days are not always with a partner group, so Slack is the best place to stay current.

Teen Trail Corps is NICA's national program for youth trail stewardship. Team trail days count toward that effort and help riders learn how trails are built and cared for.
